The 36th
International Congress of the Society for
Microbial Ecology and Diseases -
SOMED2013CONGRESS will be held
between
24th-26th
September 2013 in the university city of
Kosice, European Capital of Culture 2013.
The mission of SOMED2013CONGRESS is to present
scientific achievements and research advances in
the field of microbial ecology and its relation
to diseases. SOMED2013CONGRESS provides a
comprehensive scientific forum to all
stakeholders of microbial ecology in health and
disease. The three day conference is a
networking event for scientists, researchers and
technology providers. The conference will also
provide a platform for scientific exchange and
discussion between delegates from worldwide
academia and industry.
Focus
areas are current advances in clinical
microbiology, dietary modulation of the GIT
ecosystem, the effect of antibiotics on
microbial ecology, host microbe interactions and
the role of biofilms in health and disease.
It is the goal of SOMED2013 to further develop
the understanding of the complexity of microbial
ecology in relation to diseases, and to explore
how to transform research findings to practical
tools and applications in order to promote
health and prevent disease.
The congress is a unique opportunity to meet
leading and internationally renown scientists,
researchers who bring forward the understanding
of the role of microbial ecology in health and
disease. Initiation of
cross-boarder co-operations between scientists
